I had the privelege of being a guest on Jake Gosselin’s podcast “The Churchfront Worship Leader Podcast.”
In this interview, Jake asks me about recruiting and training new worship leaders. I’m re-publishing the audio on The Worship Leader 101 Podcast since so many great insights came out in this conversation.
Finding and mentoring new worship leaders is no easy task, but certainly worth investing in. Eventually, every worship leader will either get too old or be called out of the ministry and others will take his or her place.
The wise thing to do, then, is to actively seek “replacements,” and train them up, so that they are ready to take over when your time as a worship leader ends.
We talk about:
- How to find potential worship leaders in your congregation
- Making sure they are of good character
- Introducing them slowly to the ministry
- And so much more!
I hope you enjoy this conversation between myself and Jake Gosselin as much as I did!
